Ailing journalist in dire need of govt’s assistance
KARACHI: Senior Journalist Taj Muhammad Marri has developed cardiac problems and needs financial assistance by the government for his surgical treatment.
Marri is under the strenuous condition of shortness of breath as one of his cardiac valves has ceased to function.
The consultants have advised immediate medical and surgical intervention through angioplasty with stent placement, the estimated cost of which comes to Rs 200,000. However, it is difficult for the veteran journalist to meet the medical expenses and is awaiting quick response from the government.
