Actor and social activist ask for help
KARACHI: Renowned actor Ayub Khoso and social activist Qaiser Khan Nizamani, requested the nation to unite and do what it can to help the calamity-hit people of Sindh.
They were talking at a news conference held at the press club on Sunday.
Ayub Khoso said that they visited many offices, forums and organisations but none of them supported them. This is why they held the press conference. “We need media’s support to help out our brothers,” he said.“Maybe this is because of the errors of our ruling class.”
He urged the people and media organisations to contribute their share at his camp. Dozens of news channels are working and they should contribute a day of their salaries for their brothers. According to Nizamani, the cell phone companies and pharmaceutical companies earn billions. They should also do something to help those in need. He said that this year major damage has only been in Sindh, and this is why the rest of the provinces are not as active compared to last year.
