KARACHI (September 06 2007): Younger brother of Shahab Salman, reporter Aaj TV, died in a traffic accident late Tuesday night as his motorbike was hit by a speedy bus near Quaid-e-Azam International Airport.
Abdul Wahab, 25, the younger brother of Shahab, was returning from the airport with his friend Khurram Siraj, when a rashly driven bus violating the traffic signal crushed their bike.
As a result, Wahab died on the spot while his friennd sustained serious injuries. Airport Police has arrested the bus driver, Tariq Mahmud and lodged a FIR against him.
The funeral prayer of Wahab was offered at Alamgir Masjid, Model Colony on Wednesday and was buried in local graveyard. Office-bearers of Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ) condoling the sad demise of Wahab demanded of higher authorities to take stern action against the culprit.
