Aaj News pays homage to M A Zuberi
KARACHI: Glowing tributes were paid to the late M A Zuberi, the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Business Recorder and Patron-in-Chief of Aaj News, for his services that he rendered in the field of journalism, particularly economics and finance, at a condolence reference held here at the offices of Aaj TV on Saturday.
The meeting was attended, among others, by Editor Business Recorder and Group Chief Executive of Recorder Group Wamiq A. Zuberi, Deputy Chief Executive BR and Director Aaj News Arshad A. Zuberi, Publisher BR and CEO Aaj News Asif A. Zuberi, COO Aaj News Shahab Zuberi and staff members of Aaj News. The speakers shed light on various aspects of the late Zuberi’s life and his journalistic career.
Wamiq A. Zuberi said his father was a self-made man. M A Zuberi achieved great successes in life through sheer hard work and perseverance, he added. “My father would often tell us that Pakistan is a gift from Allah Almighty,” said Arshad A Zuberi. Asif A. Zuberi said the foundations of Aaj News had been laid on the fundamental ideas and values to which Business Recorder also subscribed. Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman lauded the services of the late Zuberi and prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.
