466,026 houses damaged in flood-hit areas

ISLAMABD: A total of 466,026 houses have been damaged as a result of recent floods including 275,023 completely and 191,003 partially destroyed houses in the flood hit areas.

According to data released by the National Management Authority (NDMA), as many as 14,370 villages have been inundated in the recent floods. 121,992 acre standing crops have been damaged. Over five million people have been affected by the floods and 455 people killed and 2,800 people were injured. The NDMA has helped the flood hit people by mobilizing its own resources.

The NDMA has established 441 relief camps and basic amenities of life are being provided to 266,037 the marooned people. Due to recent rains over 5,056,489 persons were affected. As many as 455 people have been died and 2,884 sustained injuries. NDMA has distributed 42,630 tents and 220,995 food packs including 42,250 in Balochistan, 161,245 in Sindh, and 17,500 in Punjab. And 9,651 cattle heads have gone missing due to the floods.
