Shahzad murder case: Commission calls upon public to provide informationm
ISLAMABAD: Secretary of the judicial commission on Saleem Shehzad has called upon the general public to provide any relevant information and/or material one may have that could help with the murder investigation.
“If anyone from the general public, media, civil society, family, friends and acquaintances of the slain journalist Saleem Shehzad has any information and/or material relevant to his abduction and murder, they should send it to Information and Broadcasting federal secretary and Judicial Commission Secretary, Taimur Azmat Osman,” said a government spokesperson in a statement issued on Tuesday.
Any information and/or material related to Saleem Shehzad must be accompanied by a statement in the written form, duly verified, that affirms the information/material’s authenticity as well as responsibility of the claimant, said the statement.
Furthermore, all such information/material must be submitted at the Commission Secretariat, Pakistan Television Corporation (PTVC) Headquarters, Islamabad, by July 5, 2011, said the statement.
