15-year-old maid raped in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: A 15-year-old maid, kidnapped from a street in Gulshan-e-Khudadad (E-11), was allegedly raped by two men in the wee hours of Saturday.
The preliminary medical report has confirmed the rape. The police have arrested one of the alleged rapists, while the hunt is on for the other.An FIR has been lodged against them under Section 376 of the Women Protection Act (WPA), police said. SSP (Islamabad) Sikandar Hayat, when contacted by The News, said
“The police have arrested the prime suspect.” Sana Bibi, daughter of Ashraf Khokhar, resident of Golra Sharif, told the police that she was working in the house (31, Street 4, E-11, Gulshan-e-Khudadad, Phase-I) of Taimoor Khan, working at Unicef, as a maid. His wife also works in the same office, she said.
She said the couple often took her to their office. On Friday also, they took her to their office and after completing work they sent her back home in their car (RIV-305) for doing the laundry. But the driver, Haji Farid Hussain, dropped her at Margalla Chowk in front of Sector F-11 at 12:45 p.m., she said.
“When I reached near Masjid Gulshan-e-Khudadad, Faisal, 22, who used to be her neighbour, intercepted and asked me to go with him,” Sana said, adding, “he put his hand on my mouth and dragged me into an under-construction house when I refused to accompany him.”
“There he raped me after stuffing a piece of cloth into my mouth,” the victim said. He, later, called his friend on mobile phone, who also raped me,” she said.
