11 militants killed in Maidan

TIMERGARA: Security forces claimed on Tuesday to have killed 11 militants, including local commander Abdullah in Maidan after pounding their hideouts in Kulal Dherai, Lagharai, Kass and Zaimdara areas.
According to sources, troops carried out intense shelling from Timergara, Samar Bagh and Lal Qila in response to a militant attack.
A military spokesman told journalists here that some Taliban camps had also been destroyed.
A non-combatant was killed when his house in Korai Maidan was hit by a shell on Monday night.
Security personnel surrounded a militant’s house in Shawa village of Adenzai tehsil and imposed curfew. The family handed over the suspect, Javid, after troops threatened to blow up the house.
